Danger - versatile Scandinavia
As Northern Europe is known mostly in the Scandinavian countries, ie Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Depending on the definition to also include Iceland and the Baltic states. Thus is found in northern Europe a very diverse landscape.

Norway is the westernmost country of the Scandinavian peninsula. The country has with its fjords a long Atlantic coastline. Behind are mountains up to 2300 m altitude, with some glaciers, for example, Hardangerjøkulen. In the area of the Hardangervidda can you do with a trip to the Flåm Railway wateredge, past waterfalls, through a wonderful landscape. Further afield there is a Fjelllandschaft, plateaus with low vegetation. Norway offers itself as a tourist destination for hikers. There are beautiful, well-marked hiking from hut to hut. The campsites are usually also lodge villages, where you can stay. Norway is a relatively expensive country, since there the income, etc. by oil production, fairly high. Also worth seeing is the capital of Oslo on the Oslo Fjord. A beautiful way to travel around the country, is also a ride on the ships of the post Hurtig.

Another very beautiful country in Northern Europe, Finland, the land of lakes and forests. There appears a totally different but also very beautiful landscape. You can rent lonely lakes situated cottages with the typical Finnish sauna. After the sauna and then cooling directly in the lake. As Finland is relatively flat, there may be cycling well. However, one should always have a summer insect repellent on hand.
